OpenSearch

VisualVault Version 6 uses a new search engine, OpenSearch, for all Document related queries including full text searching of document contents.

Document metadata, full-text contents, and user permissions are stored within the search engine index resulting in consistent query response times.

To perform a full-text search across all documents the user has access to, complete the following steps:

1. Select Search from the ribbon.
2. Navigate to the Advanced Search page.
3. Select the folders to perform the search on.
4. Choose Full Text from the dropdown.
5. Input the search in the field.
   • Check the box to Enable Fuzzy Search to Expand Results. 
6. Click the Search button.
