Print To VisualVault PDF (Windows)
Overview
Learn about which operating systems support PrintToVV, how to install PrintToVV v6.1.exe, and how to use the PrintToVV application (Login, Folder Selection, Logging).
Objective
PrintToVV allows users to effectively save content, often from a traditional document format, directly into a the VisualVault Document Library for upload and document management.
Description
Key Functionality
By default, PrintToVV is installed to the Program Files (x86)\VisualVault directory on your computer, unless the installation method chooses a different directory.
PrintToVV is made up of:
Virtual Printer Driver: Registers a new printer with Windows (e.g., named “PrintToVV”). Instead of printing to a physical printer, users will select this driver, which then uploads the document (as a PDF) directly to VisualVault.
VisualVault Rest API: Sends the document to your API.
Application: Monitors output from the driver as well as performs further actions (saving, indexing, etc.).
