The following matrix depicts the functionality available to each role in VisualVault for documents. Note that the "Contributor" is not a role at this time, but is planned for the future.

*VaultAccess is a user group that has full security clearance in VisualVault. Users in this group do not need to be added to a folder to have permission to it. Public users are users that are not logged into VisualVault.
**Only when the user has been given rights to the corresponding forms, documents, or projects.
***Public users or people without user accounts in VisualVault can download documents when permissions are given. Public users open these documents using a link sent to them via email, or from a link on a web page. Users that are logged in to VisualVault are given the choice to open or download documents when they have permissions if the document viewer is not enabled.
