# Finish

## **Definition**

The Finish action indicates the end of a workflow diagram. When a workflow includes [Decisions](/v1/docs/decision) or [Human Decisions](/v1/docs/human-decision), all branches must conclude in a *Finish* action.

## **Instructions**

To add the *Finish* action to the workflow diagram, drag and drop the action from the list on the left onto a "+" icon in the workflow diagram.

You can only add the *Finish* icon onto the last “+” icon on the diagram. Each branch must have exactly one *Finish* action.

If a Finish was not added at the end of each branch on the diagram, the error below will be shown when trying to publish the workflow.
