Role and Permissions is where administrators manage roles, grant or remove permissions, assign users to roles, configure resource access, and organize departments.
Review a user’s permissions
The Permissions Test tab allows administrators to review the effective permissions of any user — useful for diagnosing access issues.
From the Roles and Permissions screen, click the Permissions Test tab.
Select a user from the dropdown. The screen displays:
All roles currently assigned to the selected user.
A resource-by-resource table showing the user's effective permissions based on the union of all assigned roles.
Any special permissions, shown as granted or not granted.
Click Refresh to ensure the display reflects any recent changes to role or resource configurations.

How do I diagnose what permissions a specific user has?
Go to Settings > Roles and Permissions and navigate to the Permissions Test tab. Select the user from the dropdown to view all roles assigned to them and a resource-by-resource breakdown of their effective permissions.
Note that this tab is only available to users whose role has the Permission Test Mode Admin Capability enabled.
What should I do if I have a problem with ERM?
