This benefits HR staff who regularly pull documents across multiple employees — for audits, compliance requests, or routine record-keeping — since they can search, filter, and bulk-download from one page instead of navigating record by record. --- ## Before You Begin Before using the module, confirm the following: | Requirement | Details | | --- | --- | | Module Access | Your role must be granted module access permission to the **Document Search** module. | | Admin Capabilities | Admin roles may be granted permission on the **All Document Types** capability. Allows full access to all Document Types. Typically used for Administrators to gain access to all documents without requiring explicit permissions for each type of Document. | --- ## Navigating to Document Search Access the Employees screen from the Employee Dashboard using the left navigation menu. 1. Log in to VisualVault with your authentication credentials. 2. Launch the **ERM** application, from the Menu. 1. The application opens to the [**Employee Dashboard**](/v1/docs/erm-employee-dashboard) homepage. 3. Select **Document Search** from the left navigation menu. When you arrive, the Employees screen displays a full list of employees you have permission to view. The [**Employees**](/v1/docs/erm-employee-list) list includes columns for **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Employee #**, **Email**, **Status**, **Department**, **Details**, and **Files**. A search bar at the top reads *Search employees...*, and filter fields for **Status**, **Department**, and **Email** appear below it. The [**Impersonate User**](/v1/docs/erm-impersonate-user) field and **New Employee** button are visible in the upper right corner. --- ## What should I do if I have a problem with ERM? If you are unable to log in to ERM or if you encounter a problem with one of the modules in ERM, please contact your organization administrator. Your organization will be able to help you access your account, and can help troubleshoot any issues you may have run into.
